Greven Guitar: 000-28 Brazilian rosewood

Greven True Vintage 000-28 Guitar

This guitar is modeled very closely off a mid 1920's Martin 000-28 with the boxed-in inlaid end pin wedge and wood purfling back perimeter inlay inside the ivoroid bindings. It also has a very vintage rosette with wood purflings and a rosewood center ring middle lamination.  Lots of extra work here, John made his own purflings.

The body is Brazilian rosewood (rare straight grained stuff John has had for a long time), Mastergrade Adirondack spruce top and braces; Spanish cedar bird's beak neck; ebony fretboard and bridge.

Slotted diamond fretboard markers; MOP script headstock logo. Grover vintage tuning machines.

Tortis pickguard.

This guitar is a masterpiece. The tone takes you back about 80 years.
