Rich Bois d'Rose back & sides on this wonderful guitar from Mark Blanchard. This exotic rosewood polishes almost like glass when finished.
Fine, European spruce top.
Bookmatched, Brazilian rosewood headstock faceplate with colorful abalone logo.
Gold 510 mini Gotoh tuning machines with Ebonoid buttons.
Ebony fretboard, bound in Ebony.
Honduran rosewood body binding, heelcap and tail wedge.
Brazilian rosewood rosette; Clear pickguard.
Mahogany neck that fits nicely in the hand.
The headstock is bound in Honduran with a tasteful purfling line adjacent.
Ebony bridge with polished bone pins/abalone dots.
One of our favorite things about all of Mark's guitars is how he slightly rounds the edges, so they are not sharp like on the majority of acoustic guitars. Another builder that we've noticed that does this is Kim Walker. Verrrry comfortable for the player.
This guitar is warm and full sounding, very inviting to play.
The original case is a brown swamp alligator custom Cedar Creek case with rolled leather handle.
