Veillette Guitar: Used

Used 2011 Veillette Guitar

SN 745

Made in the U.S.A.

Mahogany back & sides

Spruce top under a light sunburst

Rosewood bridge and fretboard

Active pickup (easy access for two 9volt batteries)

Tone and Volume controls on the side (D-Tar Wavelength pickup)

Bolt on neck uses a single 1/4" machine bolt into a flanged steel "tee-nut", for a rock solid connection. It will never strip & provides great tone akin to a dovetail neck joint. However, you can adjust this joint yourself, without an expensive neck set, as needed.

Double curved soundholes in the top, whose placement make the guitar resistant to feedback

Black Gotoh tuning machines with Amber buttons

Mother of Pearl headstock logo

Black bindings and bridge pins

13 7/8" across the lower bout

Near mint condition

The Concert Series is all about Warm Tone. These are the lightest soundboards built by RainSong using unidirectional carbon. Unidirectional carbon mimics the tight grain of a fine spruce soundboard. Thus, it is not surprising that this line produces a warmer tone.

The WS is a wonderfully versatile guitar. Combining the best qualities of large and small bodied guitars, this body shape is ideally suited for a variety of musical situations. A large, deep chamber gives the WS strong projection and rich bass. The narrow waist and tight upper bout allow for a ringing treble, good balance and clear definition of individual notes. Overall, the WS is impeccably balanced. The shapely curves and light weight make the WS a comfortable guitar to cradle or stand with. The extra deep cutaway encourages playing up the fretboard.

The N2 neck is a result of an extensive, long-term collaboration with the renowned artist Steve Miller and master luthier John Bolin. The neck design is based on a modified "U" profile that has been popular in guitars since the 1950s. The N2 features a truss rod that is accessible from the head stock. Graphite does not warp or bow with changes in humidity and temperature. The purpose of a truss rod in the N2 is to allow customization of the relief to suit individual preferences.
