AAA Brazilian Rosewood back & sides with a Clean, clean looking Adirondack spruce top. All the appointments of a "42" style guitar, except there are No fretboard inlays. Slotted headstock with Torch inlay. Gold Waverly tuning machines. The body, headstock and fretboard are bound with grained Ivoroid. Colorful marquetry forms the back center strip. Rainbow-like abalone forms the rosette, and trims the fretboard extention and top as well. It just sparkles. Ebony, pyramid bridge. Ebony fretboard. Mahogany neck with diamond volute. This guitar is in Exc+++ condition and the tone is exceptional. Full and lush, with bell-like clarity to the highs. It's a hard one to put down. OHSC included in our price of $8800.

2001, used, Brazilian Rosewood model S handcrafted by George Lowden personally. Mastergrade Brazilian Rosewood back & sides. German Spruce top. 5 piece laminated neck of Mahogany & Rosewood. Brazilian Rosewood headstock front & back veneers. The headstock is double in Ebony and koa as is the fretboard. The body bindings are extremely dark & rich curly koa. Brazilian rosewood pinless, split saddle bridge. Gold Schaller tuning machines. Abalone rosette inlayed in Maple. The condition is excellent for a 2001 guitar. There are some pick and fingernail marks where a pickguard would go. The sound is unREAL ! Completely open and mature, tons of projection and sustain. It doesn't get any better.
