Vintage 1943 Martin 000-18 Guitar

Vintage Martin 1943 000-18

SN 83373

Well folks, you know what we have here......

This is why we love Mahogany guitars so much!

Unreal, light as a feather, extremely Loud and resonant.

It just doesn't get any better.

Mahogany back & sides.

Adirondack Spruce top with scalloped bracing.

Tortoiseshell colored pickguard.

Brazilian rosewood bridge and fretboard.

Dot fretboard markers.

Brazilian rosewood headstock faceplate with CF Martin script logo.

Tortoiseshell colored body bindings.

Crack free and all original except for replacement Waverly tuning machines.

This guitar is covered with finish checking and has its share of scratches, but is in

fantastic shap for its age.

There's still a bit of height left on the saddle, and the action is beautiful.

Abides in a newer Ameritage case.

Bob Thompson D Guitar with Torrefied Woods

New Bob Thompson Torrefied D Guitar

  • Torrefied Honduran Mahogany back & sides
  • Torrefied Adirondack Spruce top
  • Please read below more about what is involved in the torrefication process!
  • Macassar Ebony body & fretboard bindings
  • Traditional Herringbone top trim
  • Rope purfling forms the rosette and finishes the tail end graft
  • 25.377" scale length
  • Bob uses a process of intonation that makes the guitar play in tune, even if you put a capo on it
  • Laminated back bracing
  • Carbon fibre reinforced top bracing
  • Bone nut, saddle and bridge pins (with paua dots)
  • Mother of Pearl headstock logo
  • Gold Gotoh open back tuning machines with Ebony buttons
  • The finish on this guitar is in keeping with the rustic look that the torrefication process gives the guitar
  • Bob did not buff it all the way up to high gloss, but it is a slick semi-satin finish, similar to what we find on Lowden guitars
  • It makes for a great feel and super fast neck
  • The guitar has, essentially, been pre-maturely aged by the torrefication, and this is reflected in the tone
  • It is MASSIVE, and sounds like a vintage guitar right out of the box
  • Dry, I'm telling ya, Dry as a bag of bones!

Petros Baroque Parlor Guitar

Used 2012 Petros Baroque Parlor Guitar

  • Indian Rosewood back & sides
  • Sitka Spruce top
  • This guitar received the usual Petros treatment for a deluxe guitar - in that is has beautiful, intricate carved tuner buttons, truss rod cover, and end pin
  • The bridge on this particular guitar is elegantly reminiscent of the Renaissance Period
  • The Ebony fretboard has matching wooden fret markers
  • The headstock, fretboard, body & heelcap are bound
  • The rosette is a large, carved affair, bordered by sparkling abalone
  • A true work of art, it sounds as good as it looks!
  • Near Mint conditon
  • One thing we like about this small guitar is the smaller nut width. Traditionally, you will find a wider, 1 13/16" nut width on parlor guitars and smaller.  This one breaks the mold with a comfortable 1 11/6" nut for smaller hands.
